Artist's Description
This osprey was photographed near a dam in northeast Wisconsin. When I took this photo I had no idea that there was an osprey about thirty feet in the tree above me. I had only been standing near the water for about fifteen minutes at the time when all of the sudden this guy shot out of the tree like a rocket, hit the water, splashed for a few seconds, and then lifted its catch off to enjoy an afternoon meal.
